Salmon Fish curry South Indian style

I am always fond of Fish because of its health benefits and taste...

I keep Experimenting with different ways to make it.. you will see in my Recipe list sooner.. All the recipes of salmon which I tried and it came out in superb taste.


Lets dive in to this recipe with tips.


Ingredients

  • 500 gram Salmon Steaks

  • 1 tbl spoon Olive or Coconut oil whichever available.

  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

  • 1tsp mustard seeds

  • 2 Green chillies sliced from between into inch size.

  • 1 sprig curry leaves

  • 1 inch ginger finely grated.

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 2 tsp cumin powder

  • 2 tomatoes pureed

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 2 tbsp tamarind juice

  • 2 tsp Salt (as per your taste adjust)

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup water.


Instructions

Cut Salmon into cube size pieces and marinate in 2 pinch of salt and turmeric powder

In the medium flame, Take a Pan put olive oil and sallow fry for a min and keep it aside.


With the remaining oil left out from fish add cumin and mustard seeds let it sputter for 30 secs add ginger and fry for about 30 secs. Then add tomato puree with all the remaining dry spices.


Sauté about 4-5 mins till u get nice aroma of spices. Add in tamarind juice and coconut milk and stir for about 2-3 mins. Add salmon and water and let it simmer for about 2-3 mins.


Once you see the desired consistency switch off the flame and garnish with some coriander or parsley leaves.


Serve hot with Boiled Rice or Zeera (Cumin) rice.
