Ladi pav or wholewheat buns it the great way of making unhealthy way of making pan to healthy way...
This bun can be used in many ways but specially with chicken curry or pan bhaji it taste delicious.
Its so soft and fluffy..
So let dive into how to make it..
Preparation Time: 2 1/2 hour
Baking time: 20-25 mins
2 1/2 cups whole wheat Flour
1½ teaspoons Salt
2 tbsp unsalted melted Butter
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp warm milk
1 tbsp instant dry yeast
1 tbsp sesame seeds.
For Yeast preparation
Take a bowl add yeast, sugar and warm milk and 2 tbsp of warm water heated unto 110 degree F, and keep it aside for about 10 mins.
Next take a bowl add flour, salt, butter & oil together. Add the yeast mixture and start to knead...
While kneading make sure it should be little tacky so that it will make it more fluffy... and soft.
The consistency should be like that it must stick to your palm or you can u make use of stand mixer till you get the proper dough size ball.
It will take approx 10-15 mins for kneading till u get a proper dough without sticking to your palm.
After kneading for about 12 mins the dough will look like this.
Next step is to keep the dough for proofing for about 2 hours with damp cloth..
For that you need to grease the bowl and place the dough and cover with damp cloth or just cover it properly and keep it aside.. it will double the size.
Once risen just place the finger and deflate the dough and knead again for 1-2 mins for 2 proofing...
Divide the into 8 equal portion.
Roll each portion and place it on greased baking tray..
Make sure when you roll the balls the end tip should be at the bottom of the baking tray...
Place balls and keep room to speed the balls for next 30 mins.
After 30 mins...
Now the final stage is to milk wash the balls and put some sesame seeds and start baking.
Bake at preheated oven at 400 degree F. for about 20 mins.
Finally its ready just take off from the baking tray and let it cool for about 10 mins...
And its ready to serve with Pawbhaji or chicken or in any way you like...
