Broccoli belongs to cabbage family.. its a very good source of fibre and protein also contain iron, potassium, calcium, Magnesium, folic acid and vitamins A,E,C,K not only its a good array of B vitamins
Broccoli now a days people eat as raw on salad and other dishes.
As per recent study its raw broccoli is more healthier option than cooked one.. But both are Healthy.
My version of eating broccoli is raw and cooked with rice...
So lets start my version... in that way those who don't like the raw taste can add in to rice and can have with their favourite curry..
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
1 cup Basmati or any rice of your choice
1 cup Broccoli floret
1 tsp Olive oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds
3-4 Pepperoni seeds
1/2 inch Cinnamon
1 tsp salt (As per your taste)
Soak rice in water for 10 mins, wash broccoli and keep it aside
Heat a pressure cooker add oil in that cumin seeds and other spices let it sputter for 10 secs add broccoli and saute for 1 min.
Add rice and salt with 2 cups of water.
After 2 whistle reduce the flame to low and after 8-9mins its ready.
Serve hot with any curry of your choice..
Would recommend to use any basmati rice for this recipe since its adds more aromatic flavour.
