This recipe is my mom's recipe and believe me you gonna kiss my moms hand for this... haha..

This recipe can be made with 3 different ingredients depending about your availability..

This recipe can be prepared with full fat milk, khoya, thick cream, or condensed milk..

I used condensed milk since that will substitute of sugar in my recipe...

So lets start with the how to make it...

Preparation time:15 mins

Cooking time: 1-1.15 mins

Serving; 4-5

Ingredients:

  • 400 gram carrots finely grated (You can use stand mixer) or just grate it from your hand

  • 1 full tin of condensed milk (300 ml)

  • 1 tsp cardamom

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 3 tbsp pure ghee

Direction:

  1. Make sure you take a big vessel for making this halwa because of more liquid contents

  2. Grate the carrots and keep it aside

  3. Heat the pan and add pure ghee and then add all the grated carrots

  4. Keep stirring and add cardamom for about 15-20 mins on medium flame.

  5. Once you see all the water from carrots drained off add milk and keep stirring...

  6. After stirring for about 10-15 mins add condensed milk and sugar and keep stirring till all the liquid evaporates and you will get a thick consistency.

  7. Once you it gets thickening switch the flame to low and keep stirring till you it start leaving oil...

Finally your efforts are rewarded and its done...!

Garnish with nuts like almonds, walnuts, raisins etc..

Enjoy warm and store in airtight container for a week..

You can use khoya for best results if not available condensed milk or full cream must be there...

Happy cooking!
