One of my favourite tea-time snacks.. I just love the crunchy taste and with the goodness of nuts..
To make biscottis at home is so easy I didn’t know.. it’s the same taste like you eat from shop..
Biscotti making is not a tedious process so try and make at home.. it’s super fun and easy..
Rest it’s a famous tea time snack from Italian dessert and adopted by many countries..
My tip is what experience is mine is don’t use whole raw almonds instead use fined chopped or sliced almond which will make your life easy in making this recipe..
So let’s make it..
Preparation Time: 10mins
Cooking Time: 40 mins
2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup raw almonds (diced recommended)
Pre heat oven to 400 F
Sift All purpose flour, baking powder and salt together and give a good mix
In the another bowl whisk egg then add sugar, butter and vanilla and almond extrac.
Mix the dry ingredients with wet ingredients and combine together to get a smooth dough
Lastly add almonds and divide into 2 portion
Knead and make a 3inch wide dough
Place into the baking tray and bake for 20 mins.
After 20 mins reduce the bake temperature to 350 F and bake for 20 mins till you see golden brown in color..
Remove from the baking tray and place it into wire rack for cooling about 30mins or so..
For Storage: Keep in air tight container for about 1-2 week or even month.
And it’s done..
Enjoy your tea-time or coffee time snacks..
